Privacy Policy for FareHawk

FareHawk ("the App") is developed by Derak Soft ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, who it may be shared with, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: if you register for cloud-based price monitoring, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
• Flight alert data: the routes, dates, passenger counts, cabin/fare preferences and target prices you configure for price alerts.
• Push notification token: a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token used to deliver price-drop notifications to your device.
• Optional email notification settings: if you enable email alerts, the SMTP server address and credentials you provide are stored only on your device and used solely to send alerts directly from your device — they are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
• Local app data: your alerts and price-check history are stored in an on-device database. If you use the optional cloud server feature, this same alert data is also stored on our server so it can be checked periodically on your behalf.
• Technical data: basic diagnostic information (such as crash logs) may be collected automatically to help us fix bugs.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information above only to:

• Operate and maintain your flight price alerts;
• Check current flight prices against your target price and notify you of drops;
• Authenticate you and keep your account secure;
• Send you push or email notifications you have opted into;
• Diagnose and fix technical problems.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.

3. Third-Party Services

To retrieve flight prices, the App queries flight-data providers such as Google Flights and SerpAPI, and may use the Amadeus flight-search API. These lookups use the route, date and passenger details you entered — they do not include your name, email or account identifiers. Push notifications are delivered via Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google). Each of these providers processes data under their own privacy policies.

4. Data Storage & Security

Alert and account data associated with the optional cloud server feature is stored on servers we operate, protected with industry-standard security practices (encrypted transport, hashed passwords, access-controlled databases). Data kept only on your device stays on your device unless you enable cloud sync.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete individual alerts at any time from within the App. To delete your account and all associated server-side data, contact us at the email below and we will remove it within a reasonable time, except where retention is required by law.

6. Children's Privacy

FareHawk is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Your Choices

You can disable push or email notifications at any time in the App's settings, and you can use the App entirely offline/on-device without creating a cloud account.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
